Bees recognize human faces?!

Smile! Or smell really great! Did you know that honey bees can recognize human faces? Bees and other insects in the Hymenoptera order, like wasps, have the ability to use their compound eyes and keen sense of smell to recognize humans and use our unique facial configuration to remember us. So the studies used a sugary, sweet reward for returning to the same faces. Either way, I'll keep smiling as I charm our bees and hopefully they will keep their stingers tucked away. Is it just me, or are bees really great at using their 1 million neurons or are we under using our 100 billion?
